I attended the Visible Evidence conference from August 11 to 14, this year in Bozeman Montana. The paper I presented was entitled Audio Filters: Sonic Historiography in Film Soundtrack Composition; the paper explores the issues that arise when scoring films that are set in a historical time and place. I also shot some footage of the many classic motels in Bozeman; I hope to make a piece of some sort using these images in the future.
