I’ve been working on a new project with filmmaker Chris McNamara for pianist Megumi Masaki: a nine minute piece for piano and 3D video. The video is comprised of shots of transient spaces in Losa Angeles: parking lots, commercial and residential streets, beaches, etc. The music is more like what you might hear in a film score rather than a concert piece, but I like the interplay between the visual, the diagetic sound, and the composed piano music.
