I was pleased to spend a few days in Germany in July with old friends and collaborators Elke Utermöhlen and Martin Slawig of blackhole-factory. We had proposed a recording project to the staff of Bursfelde Abbey, am 11th-century monastery near Kassel with a beautiful resonance. We spent the best part of a day experimenting and recording various sounds and improvisations; we hope to release an album of sound art created from these recordings very soon.
