We set up the installation version of This is an important message for Julie Wade in Studio A over the week-end, and did a fair bit of troubleshooting with projection, Max patch, Ableton set up, etc. Thanks to Sarah Kelly and David Bergeron for all of their help. My idea is to turn this piece into a performable installation: when an improvising musician plays, another layer of processed audio is added to the overall sound as well as another layer of video triggered by the instrumental gestures. So far so good. We will set up the installation for full public viewing on March 3, with brief performances on the hour.
